About the Class:

This class is structured and developed to help all dancers (from beginners to advance) take their tango to the next level. Rachel will strategically plan exercises that will encourage alignment, elasticity, strength, balance and other special elements crucial for Tango Dancers. Students will develop skills and physical awareness that will help target areas that students are working to improve in their study of tango. This class is not exclusive for tango dancers and is encouraged for anyone who wants to improve their physical health, sense of movement and wellness.

About the Instructor:

Rachel Murray is a professional dancer, educator and choreographer. She has studied pilates for 20 years and became a certified Pilates instructor 10 years ago. She has taught Pilates in New York City, Tokyo, Japan, Vancouver, BC and at The University of Texas at Austin in The Department of Theatre and Dance. She is an avid tango dancer and has studied the form for over 5 years. She traveled to Argentina in 2007 in order to bring her tango to the next level. Ms. Murray loves to use Pilates to help students increase their technical abilities and fluidity in dance.
