Lorena Ortega PDF Print E-mail

Lorena Ortega (salsa & bachata instructor) is relatively new to the salsa scene and admits she was very slow to trying it out in the beginning.  Intimidated by the many great dancers she saw out at clubs, she was hesitant to set foot on the dance floor.  Thanks to a few friends, though, she took her first few spins and was hooked.  The first night out she decided that she was going to make it a goal to become good at the dance.  With perseverance and a lot of practice, she slowly but surely learned to maneuver her way around the dance floor.  Her favorite social dance is Bachata.  Her first lessons were in Modern Bachata from Daniel Guzman and soon after she started learning the Dominican style being drawn to the highly improvisational style and free form of the dance.  She’s attended workshops given by Esquina’s own Jason and Liliana and has taken lessons from Berto Ramos.  She’s learned much of her footwork and styling from Troy and Jorjet.  Lorena’s enthusiasm for the dance helps her in generating interest from new students.  So no matter which style you prefer, Lorena looks forward to getting you out there on the dance floor showing off some moves!
